PROJECT

RUNWAY

Snawl's

Season 8

What's new for season 8?

1. For the first time in Snawlterm history, I am permissing the use of non-Habbo clothing resources. This includes the Fuusio clothing generator, as well as any retro or alternative Habbo website. However, it should be noted that I am not usually a sucker for novelty; you will not receive brownie points simply for showing me an item or pattern I haven't seen. Execution and originality are always far more important than having "new" items. If you want to use these resources, use them as a tool and not a crutch, otherwise you will fail.

2. You can pose in any which way you want on any task, unless specified otherwise.

3. You can use glitches and poses available on retros, as well as the "backwards outfit" effect on Fuusio.

4. Another first for Snawlterm: I am getting rid of the requirement to maintain a model. This means you can change your Habbo's hair, skin, face, & sex every week with no penalty.

5. Snawlterm 8 is the first season where I am allowing contestants to submit their own photos. If you are unable, or simply do not wish to, you must make an effort to meet with me on Habbo so I can photograph you. Discord is the easiest method of contacting me outside of Habbo. Scroll to the bottom of this page to learn how to submit your own photo, step by step.

6. Certain designers may be asked to provide a "deposit" before playing. This is for talented designers who, for whatever reason, have made me doubt their loyalty to long-terms. This rule does not apply to you if you've never quit a long-term before.

7. All of Snawlterm's usual base rules apply to Season 8, and are as follows:

  • Submit on time

  • Keep friendly disagreements friendly

  • Warn me of any potential absences in your weekly schedule (like a vacation that requires you to be away from the internet for more than 4 days at a time)

  • If you quit or get disqualified, I reserve the right to bully you on my website

  • Don't apply if you can't handle criticism - all of my critiques are entirely educational and I am never rude for the take of being rude. However, every season seems to have at least one toddler who can't tell the difference between "I dislike your pixel outfit" and "I think you're a bad person who should rot in a hole." All of my critiques are literal and unambiguous. You can ask for clarification if you don't understand where I am coming from, or if you feel you'd benefit from further explanations.

  • Presence in the Discord group is encouraged but not mandatory

  • Be aware of what your fellow contestants submit. If you submit something that looks eerily similar to someone else's outfit from a previous week, you will be criticized for plagiarism, even if it is purely a coincidence

  • Deflate your ego upon entering. I don't care how many games you've won or how renowned you are. I judge what you bring to panel, and only that

  • Understand that this game is not the be-all end-all. I am merely one person, and my subjective opinion is random & arbitrary just like everyone else's

  • Don't ask my guest judges for help or advice, they won't give it to you

  • Have fun. . . or face the consequences!

How to photograph & submit your own outfit

If you are using Fuusio, you can download the image by clicking the high-res icon underneath the Habbo avatar. I will only be accepting high-res from Fuusio submissions. Then send me the downloaded outfit and you're done!

If you are using Habbo.com or any retro, you can submit your own outfit (& pose) by taking a screenshot and messaging it to me over Discord. Follow these simple steps to submit your own photo:

Step 1: Equip your outfit against a blank background. The default Habbo flooring is good enough, but I also have a white room on .com you can use if you wish to.

Step 2: Make sure you are on :zoom 2 command to produce a higher resolution image. I will not be accepting anything other than :zoom 2.

Step 3 (OPTIONAL): Strike your desired pose.

Step 4: Snap a screenshot with any decent screen capturer. Personally I use Gyazo which is a free software, but most mainstream screen capturers will work.

Step 5: Save it, and message it to me on Discord. That's it!

Here is what the process looks like in practice:

HOT TIP:

You can also photograph yourself directly from your wardrobe without zooming in!

This is a great way to avoid the white jacket/missing item glitch that occurs on Habbo when you wear too many articles of clothing.

However, you cannot dance pose from the wardrobe, sadly.

(another) HOT TIP:

The Habbo PR fashion community is full of amateur artists. If you cannot photograph yourself, you'll almost certainly be able to find someone else in the community who can adequately photograph you if you ask nicely. However, if your outfit is submitted by someone who isn't you, you will be asked to "confirm" it via Habbo or Discord to prevent possible sabotage.

*Sabotage has literally never happened in Snawlterm, but I'd rather be safe than sorry

If all of this is too intimidating or complicated (which it really shouldn't be), I am always open to photographing you myself. However, it is your responsibility to reach out to me to schedule a meet-up. I have accounts on Habbo.com and Habboon, and I can log on to photograph you on either website.

I will not be creating any new accounts on any other alternate website(s), so if you're using a hotel that isn't Habbo.com or Habboon, then it is 100% your responsibility to get your outfit to me before the deadline, and in good quality.

I reserve the right to reject your photo submission if it's a blurry mess.

If you have questions or concerns I failed to address on this page, shoot me a message. I'm always down to help.
