Week 1 - Panel

(READ EVERYTHING PLEASE!) Hello and welcome to your first panel of PR Season Two! Woohoo! If you're unfamiliar, this page has ALL of the contestants' photos. This is where you are all judged. Please read your critique thoroughly so you can grasp the feedback and learn from it. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

I don't want to talk about this because I feel like an attention seeker, but I think it's best to get the elephant out of the room. As most of you know, the game was delayed a day and a half from its original deadline due to my sister's passing. I wasn't going to make it public, but I am utterly amazed and blessed at the amount of support I received from you guys. I was expecting to get laughed at and bullied, but instead I got cradled by people who I didn't even know cared. Basically I am trying to thank you guys for being supportive and not giving up on this game, or me. I'm tired of explaining over and over what happened so I'll just say it: she died of lupus (cancer) after battling for several years. She was expected to live another 3-5 years so her death totally took us by shock and my family is still in dense grieving. I miss her every day but she has two beautiful daughters (my nieces) who will carry on her existance.

Okay enough about me. LET ME TALK ABOUT DEADLINES: A deadline is the last possible day I can accept a photo. The purpose of a deadline isn't to have 18 designers all procrascinate and throw their photos at me at the last minute. In fact, the smartest thing to do would be to complete it within the first 24 hours of you reading the task. Sometimes I am not online, I understand that. But if you're British or Aussie [or someone who just has a busy schedule] feel free to talk to me on Kik to plan a date, and I will try my best to match myself with you. My Kik is BradBender and any trolls will be instantly blocked so don't even waste your time.

With the air cleared, let's see who is a rising star, and who is getting CUT.

First up is Ashlyn

Photo: There's not much going on in this picture. There's definitely emotion, but does it match the task? Your outfit looks better on the left than it does in black and white which is a problem because the black and white part would be the advertisement that the public sees. It goes to show that you didn't really think the textures through.

Outfit: I think this outfit is very nice. I think it IS modern and chic, which a lot of people didn't understand on their first try. The colours are a bit darker than I had anticipated and the problem with that is, when you use a dark palette on a youth outfit, it ages the wearer. Also, I think the brown-creme pattern on the heels are absolutely appalling and I would not recommend doing that again.

Set Performance: You broke rules on set! I very specifically explained to you that you had to choose 2 locations to pose in, and instead you ran around the room like a bull. As for your actual modelling, it wasn't all that exciting. You had your back turned a lot and that usually scraps some photos. Also try to refrain from waving too much, thanks.

Overall this isn't terrible but it's a pretty weak start. I want to see some perfection out of you! I still stand by my word from last season and say that your Snawl's Dolls dress is one of the best I've ever seen. Don't let me down.

Next up is Bri

Next is Emily

Photo: I think you have the casual look down very well. You photograph very nicely in monochrome, and the pose is swift and sweet; it draws my attention. I also like how your hair is hiding your face. It gives you that secluded high-fashion feel without looking too arrogant.

Outfit: The outfit looks better in black and white, which is a good thing because that's what you're selling. I think the jacket and jeans combination was very well called for. I question the scarf, I think it may've been a bit too much? But overall it's a valiant outfit. I think you have a pretty good basic understanding of modern fashion which is good to have when everyone else is all caught up in today's experimental trends.

Set Performance: For a noobie in the game, your set performance was actually not bad.You started off pretty slow but you instantly picked it up and delivered speed and efficiency. But like I said with Ashlyn, you need to wave a lot less. Actually, don't wave at all. It's lame.

A pretty strong start for someone who was feeling overwhelmed by the competition. But you need to realize that you're officially IN this game, and you have a 1/18 chance of winning just like everyone else. I want to see some confidence in you.

Jack, you're next

Jade, come on up

Photo: I think this photo has a lot of power. It may look too joyous, but I am sensing a story in this. To me it looks like a designer who is shitting her pants with nervousness, but is faking it by laughing it off and trying to play cool. You're telling me a story with this photo, so that's great. The monochrome picture of the outfit is similar to the actual outfit which is nice because that means what you see is what you get.

Outfit: At first I was in love with this outfit, but I've been staring at it for about 10 minutes and I am starting to see some cracks form. My biggest concern is the massive gap between the crop top and the skirt. I think this is showing a little too much skin for a first impression with a client. That being said, I thought leaving the outfit plain was a bold risk and it totally works. The scarf is totally emphasized by being one shade lighter than the top, and the subtle hint of colour in the shoes is pure bliss. Very impressive work. Welcome back to the competition!

Set Performance: Your set performance was very interesting because you didn't dance at all, yet you still weren't boring. You had a lot of motion shots with walking, but they all worked because your angles were all on point. This was actually your first shot, and I chose it as your best because you pulled off motion AND emotion on your very first frame. Impressive.

I am so happy you're in this game. You need to out-do the tragedy that took place on Week 9 of last season. So far, you're off to a solid start. Everyone else should watch out for Jade.

Up next is Joel

Photo: I think making a head-on profile with the camera really worked in this scenario, especially with those spotlights illuminating your Habbo. The difference in shades on the jacket, and the contrast on the shorts and heels really shine through in the monochrome photography. You're surrounded by spotlights and flashy pillars, but my eye goes straight to you. Great shot.

Outfit: I think taking a dark approach and adding a pop of baby blue was wise. You've taken something subtle, wrapped it in a dense cloak, but they work in harmony. AND most importantly, IT LOOKS MODERN! Halle-fucking-lujah! Not much I can say about this outfit that isn't me repeating myself above, but yeah. Great job.

Set Performence: You had no major flaws on set: you were very well coordinated. You worked the surroundings to your complete advantage and you had several good motion shots.

Honestly, you're sooo lucky you're even in this game. When I first received your application I instantly rejected it because you were disqualified from season 1 due to tardiness. But I am glad I reconsidered because you just delivered me superior product. But you need to keep designing top-notch stuff like this, because I am still a bit bitter about it, and I am NOT going to be leanient on you any time soon.

Next is Joseph, another returnee

Photo: First off I want to point out that I am aware this outfit looks deathly similar to Joel's but I can assure everyone that they did their photoshoots at totally separate times so there's no way one could've copied another. With that out of the way, I absolutely love this photo. It is DRAMA! You're strutting down that runway with confidence, but I also see that shyness pull through a bit. Also I think it was smart of you to go to the front of the stage where there's not much background jazz because it really makes you the centre of attention.

Outfit: There's not much I can say about the layout that isn't me repeating myself over what I said about Joel. But what I will say is while Joel took more of a rugged, edgy look with the shades, you look more relaxed and cool. I think the way the eye starts in the gentle centre and slowly works its way through the layers getting darker and darker is a really nice feature. It makes my eye dance.

Set Performance: Your first half of your modelling [on the stage] was breathtaking; you slayed every shot. Then you moved onto your second location, the designing floor, and it was decent. A lot of the shots there were a bit mediocre.

Overall this was VERY impressive. To know that the person who pulled off this magnificent art piece was the same person who got eliminated Week 5 of season 1 just goes to show that history doesn't define you. I think you could actually win this whole thing. Thank God for applying.

Up next is Kara

Photo: Looking at this photo, it allures me because of the motion. However, if the customers knew that the objective of this task was to portray a shy designer stepping into the fashion world, they would likely not see it. I think it's a decent shot but you need to focus more on the task in hand.

Outfit: The bottom half of your outfit is gorgeous. Classic light blue jeans and nude shoes. YES PLEASE! However the top half is a little questionable. I think the colours are fine; the white goes great with the lower half, and the red cuts through the white well. My issue is that the scarf itself engulfs your neck and a huge portion of the front of your Habbo's body, so I don't really get that exposed, naked, trembling feel. And in the monochrome colour it shows up dense, so that "red" could really be anything, and that could be enough to turn off a customer.

Set Performence: Your modelling was "meh" at best. I was underwhelmed when photographing you. First off, you had the coffee cup for the majority of your shots. It was cute when you were by the actual coffee stand, but when you brought it to the rest of the shots it got tiring. Your pace was very slow, and you didn't dance. You took NO risks. Photographing you felt like a long, tedious chore. However I will say that you did have a really good grasp on the task because you mentioned some ideas that were totally on point. So you had great ideas, just a bad execution.

Overall I am not impressed. It's not bad but it's definitely not allstar quality. Your modelling really tanked your score this week. Hopefully it was just because you're new to this. Maybe next week you can revive yourself if you make it.

Kayllah is up with a vengeance!

Photo: I love the pose but it doesn't really work cohesive with the outfit. The outfit looks gentle and innocent, yet you're modelling with intensity. Try to remember that you're selling the full package!

Outfit: I think the outfit itself is gorgeous. Easily one of the bests this week in terms of embracing the task. If I was in this longterm I would've done something similar. The shoes look a little too dark, so it sort of stands out against the bubbly pink coat. However I am a fan of the blank canvas-of-a-shirt left white, and having the textural frills do the talking.

Set Performance: As expected, you modelled well on set. You were very considerate of your angles (as you can see above) and your overall trial was very creative. However, there were a few tacky waving shots mixed in with your film. Try to avoid that next time please.

Overall a good photo. I know you're here with a bloodthirsty force because you were SLAYING season 1 and then it gets cancelled. However This is season 2, so you need to bring it. This isn't going to be a simple walk in the park, but I am glad you're back. And also, I hate to bring racials into this and sound like a bigot, but I don't know why you decided to go "blasian" for this game. It doesn't match your usual style, and frankly looks pretentious. I am thinking at makeovers, we might have to give you an ENTIRE makeover; skin and all.

Up next is Lauren

Liberty is next.

Photo: This photo is cute, but it lacks any trace of substance. You're selling the clothes well, but you were also supposed to be portraying a character, and I don't see it. I like how you're close to the spotlight because it looks like you're about to grab it, but also, that's completely irrelevant to the objective. Also not a fan of the clone hair; you DEFINITELY need a makeover.

Outfit: Overall it fits the criteria of the task but it is pretty mediocre. I think your greys are great, and I like the shorts you used, but I am not a fan of the green. There's not much to say because you did abide by the rules, so there's no major flaws here. But I want to see some fireworks from you soon.

Set Performance: You experimented well on set and tried a lot of unique things. But I will add that you were VERY fast-paced and it seemed like you were just running around in a giant circle. It's hard to tell whether you're trying to pose, or if you were running to a different point.

You made it to the finale in season 1 before it was scrapped, but sadly your performance there will have no impact on your performance here. This photo is good enough to get by, but it isn't enough to stand out.

Up next is Mike

Photo: I am really liking how this photo turned out. This is casual and modern at its finest! The subtle lift of the arm, holding the cup, bent leg, perfect! Very nicely done. I just wish your outfit looked a little more diverse. In monochrome it looks like prisonwear.

Outfit: Like I said, in the monochrome photo, it looks like a jumpsuit. However in colour it is actually quite splendid. I loved the beige box pants, I think you incorporated the belt beautifully. It is a really good male interpretation of what the task was looking for. You just need to be aware of your textures and how they will show up on film.

Set Performance: You had some very smart postures on set and your facials were very dramatic. However you didn't really take advantage of the set; you sort of stayed in your own little cubby. You also wouldn't let go of that fucking coffee cup.

A strong photo, but it doesn't amaze me. Quite frankly I think you shot yourself in the foot when you decided to be a male for this competition because now you gotta work harder than everyone else just to get on their level. So I wish you the best of luck.

Next is Rose

Photo: This doesn't capture my attention at all. You're wearing a dark outfit and modelling in a dark set so it just comes out looking like a big block of grey. The pose is pretty silly, but it's your best shot because you wasted about 50% of your film when you had your back turned.

Outfit: Here's my problem with you: you don't fucking listen to advice. You came on set with an outfit that looked sumilar to this and I asked you to change it because I said it was generic and boring, so what do you do? You change the skirt into shorts, and change the colour of your shirt... really? This reminds me of the first time you played my longterm and you were constantly in the bottom because you delivered bland, mediocre cookie-cutter outfits week after week. I feel like I can come to your house, hold you down and scream into your face to not do something and you still fucking do it. If you survive this week, I am not going to accept ANYTHING from you that isn't 100% original. Because at this point you're really just wasting my time. If I had to say a nice thing, I do like the colour palette of the flashy purple against the grey. However in the monochrome photo it all just looks like a murky mess.

Set Performance: You were VERY slow. You don't need to wait for me. You took like 10 seconds per pose and it was enraging to sit here with a camera and try to get a shot when you're just standing there. Also you devoted a lot of your film to waving, and having your back turned, so in the end this photo was the only salvagable one.

Rose, you know you're not this bad. You've slayed my games before. So why are you playing it safe when the stakes are so high? This is a fucking longterm! With a coin prize! I know like 15 people who would KILL for your spot right now.

Photo: Bri I straight-up love this photo. It is so simple but it it executed amazingly. The joyous emotion is powerful and it draws me in as a viewer. You had a lot of fierce-posing photos but I chose this one as your "best" because it best depicts the emotions that match your outfit. All-inclusive this was a very raw, beautiful photograph.

Outfit: I think it's simplicity done right. It definitely isn't bland, and you basically incorporated every key word I asked for in the task description, into this outfit. I could see this in an ad campaign right now as it is. I love the box pants because they add almost a structural support for the frilly shirt. In the monochrome image it almost looks like an ombre outfit, but it's not. It's totally playing illusions with my mind.

Set Performance: You started off a bit slow, but you quickly rebound and delivered some amazing shots. I had a lot of fun photographing you because you were quick, innovative, and you overall seemed to be really grateful that you're here. Easily one of the strongest here in terms of modelling on a set.

Bri, this is a very strong start for this game. Let's hope you can keep the momentum going because I think there's something special about the way you understand tasks. Goodluck.

Nextly is Savon

Photo: I like this photo because there's no questioning in who the star is- it's you. You totally steal this whole image. The swiggily, floral-like patterns of the shirt is totally being embraced in this shot with the jacket open, exposing the whole piece. In monochrome this is a very beautiful, elegant outfit. In colour it looks modern and up-to-date with a lot of today's fashion trends. Very interesting photo.

Outfit: I can't credit you too much for the jacket because I recommended it to you, but I think the colours are balanced phenomenally. The grapefruit colour is super harsh, but it isn't sharp enough to demolish the sensual baby blue going on underneath the jacket. The shoes left grey was a very nice technical trick and it just makes the monochrome picture look THAT much more high-fashion. You took a generic layout and you totally elevated it with amazing colour balancing. This is very impressive.

Set Performance: You took direction very well. The majority of your shots were good. There were times when you tried waving and such and it was a but unusual, but overall you pulled through. You also had a lot of unique set ideas.

I am really happy that you're in this game because I think you alone represent a whole underground genre of designers. Since your PR is typically hosted when most North Americans are in bed, I think you're representing a lot of people by being here. Make them proud.

Next we have Skye

Photo: I like the motion of you walking down a runway, but there's not really anything powerful. I like that your shirt is white while surrounded by black because it lures the eye, and I like the way the spotlights cascade over your Habbo. In terms of art, this is a very neat photo. But in terms of selling clothes and portraying a character, it falls a bit flat.

Outfit: I really like the outfit. I think every element of it is nice and serves a purpose. I love how you left the jeans simple and blue. The shoes contrast the jacket very nicely. It looked modern and street-smart while not looking trashy. Overall a very good outfit. However I have an issue with it. There are several designers who recycled this outfit over and over in icearbr's PR and I know you were in that game. I am not accusing you of copying, but I just want you to be aware that sometimes outfits do get passed around a lot. It is your job to try and look original as possible when presenting me with an outfit.

Set Performance: Your inexperience definitely showed on set because you were a bit slow and misunderstood some things. But I think you had some really amazing ideas and you worked with the whole set. Overall a decent photoshoot.

I think you have potential, but you need confidence. I know this game is hard, and I know that these people are ruthless. But you need to realize that some of them are probably just as scared as you, as you are of them.

Next we have Valentina

As we approach the end, Vicky is next.

And lastly is William

Photo: The photo is not bad, it has a dramatic effect and it portrays the oufit well. But I wish there were more shade diversity going on. You look like a surprized, intimidated designer who's experiencing stage fright just as she is about to approach the clients.

Outfit: I have a major bone to pick with you. I've been informed by another contestant that you were pestering them and asking them for outfit advice constantly. Let me tell you something Will: This is a fucking game. The contestants are your COMPETITION. I am so sickened that you would come into a game so anticipated and sought after, and completely disrespect the whole program. Did I create this game to see who could salvage the strongest outfit by copying the most people? No, I didn't. This task is a fucking WALK IN THE PARK compared to more tasks I have preplanned down the road, and if you can't even handle THIS, then you don't belong in this competition. I almost don't want to judge this outfit because for all I know you probably didn't even design it. I like the overall layout but I think the colours are a little too predictable. There's more to simplicity and subtleness than just pastel colours. Overall a mediocre outfit [which is still in question whether or not it was even designed by you.]

Set Performance: William, I've hosted several longterms. I've endured people trolling my sets, complainers, sabotagers, rude contestants, camera difficulties, people going afk, uncooperative extras, etc... I've seen it all. However, the set performance I had with you HAS to be in the top 3 worst I've ever experienced. You had absolutely NO IDEA what the hell you were supposed to do. I asked you if you read the stickies in the meeting room and you said you did, but that was probably a lie too. As soon as we got into the room you started asking me questions that I had already answered. So then you take almost FIFTEEN MINUTES just to pick a location to shoot. When the camera finally starts rolling, you model for a good 2.8 seconds, and then you stopped. I figured you were lagging so I waited a few minutes but you just stood there stagnant. I asked what the fuck you were doing and you were like "Oh I thought we were done." seriously? I asked if you had any questions and you said you didn't. I know it wasn't my fault because no other contestant came close to having a travesty quite as bad as you did. You literally are clueless as to what this game is about, what you're supposed to do, and what I expect from you.

I can handle people getting lost. I can handle people needing help. But I can't handle a liar who refuses to listen or learn, and who can't even be honest with me and present me an outfit designed by them. I've lost a ton of respect for you as a designer. You think this game is one big joke, don't you? It's a shame because the photo itself is actually pretty nice, but that's thanks to the photography and the set, not you.

Photo: It doesn't strike me. The outfit is really light so it all shows up grey. However I applaud your use of the belt and shirt because the edges on the front look really cool and chic in monochrome.

Outfit: I like it, a lot. I think it's a shimmering example of how to incorporate the textures of different fabrics into something glamorous. My complaint is that the pastel colours were sort of was "easy way" out of this task and you seemed to take it. I really liked the use of the white shoes, I think it's the glue of the outfit that brings it all together. I've said this a few times judging the others and I will say it again: I think when you use a short skirt like that, specially with a clunky belt and a pastel colour, it makes your Habbo look much more older and mature. You gotta watch out for stuff like that.

Set Performance: You were really fun on set and I had a lot of fun photographing you. However I feel that you could've done a better job at the task in hand. You seemed to just do mediocre poses and nothing really connected to the background or the situation.

I like this photo; I think it is a pretty good start. However, you and I both know how good you are, and we both know you're capable of sooo much more. Time to step it up.

Photo: This photo is really interesting because you requested the idea of a photo of you exiting the door. I think it works well but it is very straight-forward and it could really mean anything, so it doesn't add much drama to the task in hand. The outfit looks good in monochrome though.

Outfit: The outfit is really well crafted and I like the yellow against the white. I think this outfit is really good and a successful example of modern fashion. Overall I have to say I am impressed with this. Everything works in harmony. It lacks any risk-taking or wow factor however, and the only way to get to the top is to be creative.

Set Performance: It was literally 3-5 minutes after I finished photographing you when I heard that my sister died. Normally after photoshoots I write notes about the person's performance but I didn't have time to write one for you because I instantly went to the hospital. I remember parts of your performance and it wasn't bad so what I will do is I will just veto the "Set Performance" part of your score. So your week's score for Week 1 will just be Outfit + Photo. Sorry about that. It won't happen again.

You are the only person in this game who I wouldn't consider a "professional designer" but the reason why I casted you is because you had, BY FAR, the best application with the most passion. When reading it, I knew I wanted you in this game. This outfit shows that choosing you was a good decision. You're basically my lab rat for this game; I am seeing that if my gamble with you pays off. Keep up the good work.

Photo: It's a striking photo. I really like how you utilized the edge of the stage; not very many people thought of that. There's power in your pose and if I stare at it long enough I can sort of get a grip of a possible scenario taking place. The outfit is nice in terms of textures and fabrics, but the colour palette is nothing amazing. It looks like a dark smear.

Outfit: It was sort of safe-playing. However it matches all of the task's criteria so I can't be mad. It was very well put together and the jeans are the ondoubtful star of this piece. But like I said above, the colour palette could've been far more inventive and variac. This is an okay outfit that will allow you to skid passed Week 1 but in you want to become a front-runner, I'm gonna have to see fireworks really soon.

Set Performance: Your performance on set was actually good. You were quick and utilized every corner of your set. You used approaches that no one else used and I was hoping someone would use. Overall a really good trial.

Everyone knows you're my best friend. You're the only one I trust to co-host with me and you're the only one I've ever had as my <3 status on Habbo. However, I am judging you 100% fairly on the level as everyone else. This picture is good but it doesn't blow me away.

Photo: This photo is very weird, but in an interesting way. It is strange enough to catch my attention but it doesn't freak me out. This is sort of the Habbo version of the 'broken-down doll pose' (ANTM fans recognize that reference) and it works very well. It shows off the long vertical stripe descending down the outfit. Overall a very unique artsy shot. Does it portray a shy designer? That's questionable. The outfit itself looks a bit too sophisticated.

Outfit: Your first outfit you showed me had a great bold colour palette so I was hoping you'd translate it to this one. Because right now, if it wasn't for the stripes, the outfit would look like a grey block. But I think you're doing a really good job at selling the clothes. If it had a more variac colour palette there would be a lot more detail going on in the black and white picture. Overall a valiant effort but it doesn't blow my socks off.

Set Performance: You were kind and cooperative on set. You were quick and you tried a lot of approaches. My only critique would be to hault it on the waving. It is VERY hard to pull waving off in a photograph, and since this was the first week I don't suggest going THAT big yet.

Overall this is a creative picture. I had actually messaged Casey (derpuba) and told her that I would disqualify you to let her play, but luckily I caught you online at the last moment. That was a close call so let's not cut it that short again. (PS I'm sorry Casey!)
