Panel - Week 4

I knew this was going to happen... and it did. The overall product of this week was disappointing. There were several of you who turned it up and delivered phenomenal photos, but as an average, the quality of the photos dropped drastically. Too many of you struggled to break free from your comfort zone, be creative, or simply just didn't understand the task. Then I get complaints like "Yo Snawl this task makes no sense and is really hard bro!" NO SHIT! It's supposed to be hard! That's what makes this game so fucking exhilarating! How lame would this game be if I did tasks like "Do a colour blocking outfit XD" or "You're going to a blue nightclub so wear lots of blue!"? It would fucking SUCK major, throbbing, freshly-severed-but-still-pulsating deer cock. So as I was saying, the overall performance was low, but I guess it was half-expected as you guys have been turning out great photos all game. However what I was impressed with was the speed of which most of you turned your photos in. The first three weeks of this game have been as slow as molasses, but this one breezed by quickly thanks to all of you making the effort to rush it in. I only had to chase 3 people down, so yay!

I have a special treat for you guys! I get lots of opprobrium and criticism for being a one-man judge; people complaining that PR in general is too easily fixed and that I can be bias. Normally I tell these sniveling babies to go fuck themselves, but after thinking about it, I've decided to showcase a second opinion for this task (and maybe future tasks down the road.) For this week, I will not be judging alone! I will be joined in this panel by an old friend of mine. Say hello to Jordan (Earthdrops)! Jordan is an old PR veteran, and him & I go way back. He is fully trusted and he knows what he is talking about. It just so happens that his specialty is unorthodox fashion, so this is a perfect fit! He will write as much [or as little] as he wishes about each photo. His critiques will be displayed in blue to separate it from mine. Keep in mind that I am STILL (and will always be) using the scoring system to determine the call-out order, so Jordan's advice has little effect on this game's outcome. He is mainly here to offer a different point of view, because I assume you guys are tired of reading ME bitching every week. Also Jordan has left you guys a summary of what he thinks of this week; scroll down to the very bottom to read it.

So with that said, it's time to see who successfully haulted the fashion limo, and who will be getting scraped off the bumper with a spatula.

First up is Kayllah

Photo: It strikes me because you have emotion powering through. You're sitting and frowning in front of a car with its headlights on you. This looks like something straight out of Silent Hill.

Outfit: I liked the use of the hat because it looks very sinister and exquisite. I also like how you chose to use a gown because that is what makes it seem all that more ideal and quixotic. But my main critique is the center. The fur jacket with striped long sleeves is a generic combination and I think they don't look brash or couture. This looks like some line of experimental underground Russian winter wear. Overall not totally amazed.

Set Performance: Your modelling on set was actually really good. You quickly embodied the haunted, scary feel. You tried a lot of things and had several decent photos.

Second up is Joseph

Photo: I have always been against people holding their thumb up, but I think it works here because it looks like you're swinging yourself around the lamp post. Also you got very lucky and your eyes closed just at the right moment so there's lots of abnormal emotions happening. All of which adds onto the shock value of the photo.

Outfit: Hey Joseph... NICE ATTENTION TO DETAIL! *sarcasm* I am 110% sure I requested you to be barefoot for this photoshoot. Normally I'd point out a mistake like that on set, but you also showed up wearing white earrings so I figured I'd only notify you of one flaw. You should really read the task better because if you haven't noticed, each week so far represents a trait or virtue you need to succeed in fashion. This week's virtue was following direction and matching a client's specific requests. But you'd rather go off on a junket and do your own thing. As for the outfit itself, it is better than the bullshit you had on Week 3 but I wasn't a fan of it completely. I liked the idea of dislocating the top and the bottom, but I wish you kept the bottom pitch black and with the longer shinier dress like you had before you changed.

Set Performance: While this photo is fantastic, the rest of your film was very dreary and uninspiring. You model very slow, and you wave far too much. I've never accepted a waving photo so far in this game and I don't plan on any time soon so I recon you stop wasting your film... assuming you survive this heinous photo.

Thirdly is Lauren

Photo: You had several good photos but this one intrigues me the way you're by the tree that is very detailed yet you're not being outshined. You're staring down the car rather than standing directly in front of it. It looks like the scene of a horror movie when someone is driving along the edge of a forest and a woodland creature is standing next to a tree staring the driver down, like Jeepers Creepers.

Outfit: I gotta give you major props for toning the half-coat and being the first person this season to effectively use it. The dislocation of the outfit is really neat and I was hoping to see something like that. My issue is the bottom half of the outfit. I think the dress is a bit bleak and could've had more of a spark to it. The necklace is nice but it doesn't really offer much purpose to the outfit. My favourite part is the veil.

Set Performance: You actually modelled insanely well. I was really impressed because you were quick, innovative, and had several great photos. You were fast and didn't get scared of getting close to the set pieces. Good job.

Fourthly is Joel

Photo: Damn... just as I was getting ready to toss your ass, you deliver straight up HIGH FASHION. This is bloody extravagant! This photo is so well put together, it might actually rival against Jade's Week 3 for best photo of this entire game [so far]! Seriously this just goes to show that just because you fall down the ladder instantly, doesn't mean you can't instantly bring yourself back up. Okay I assume you want me to judge the actual photo so here we go: the over-the-shoulder glare at the car is perfectly timed with the subtle lift of the hand on the long, flowy couture gown. Very striking, beautiful, mysterious, frightening, and most importantly ORIGINAL.

Outfit: Not much I can say; it's just fantastic. You used layers upon layers that are never used to being put together, and the way you highlighted some of the aspects with the grey toning is just true genius. I honestly don't think I could've done this task better had I been asked to do so. This outfit looks elegant, frumpy and almost out-dated, but that's definitely not a bad thing. You look like the eerie ghost of a dead, once-famous courtesan from the late 1800s. This is truly striking. But the big question is: now that you've had a taste of how quickly one can lose their balance, will you manage to stay on top?

Set Performance: Your modelling has gotten better over time. I remember on Week 2 you were very slow and lackluster. But this time you sped up a bit, and you turned out several high-fashion photos. Welcome back to the competition!

Up next is Kara

Photo: I think you were very smart and sagacious with where you modelled and plotted yourself. You specifically chose this pose as your first spot and it is the best because you're side-eyeing the car as the headlights illuminate your black outfit. It's really picturesque and beautiful.

Outfit: You had some really amazing ideas, like the bandana and facemask, and I love your front textures. But the bottom half of your outfit is a bit uninspiring. The only thing I like about it is the length. This is a very good technical outfit, but other than the fabrics, there's really nothing spooky or unique about it. It is very othrodox and expected, and I just expect much more from you. You've dominated my shortterms before so I was NOT expecting to have you get constantly stomped over by the competition. If you survive this week I want you to start taking risks and get out of your comfort zone... and maybe take a bath.

Set Performance: Although the picture is great, the modelling was a bit disorganized. Most of your frames were you facing the same head-on angle. When you do it more than 2 times, you're really just wasting your frames.

Up next is Mike

Photo: It is interesting but it doesn't captivate me at all. It looks like a fashion shot, I'll give it that, but in terms of creativity, it lacks heavily. This annoys me because I know how talented you are; you've showed me in previous games. But in this game you've done nothing out of your comfort zone.

Outfit: I think I might've said this before but I am going to say it again: I think you shot yourself in the foot when you chose to be a boy for this game. It is your specialty, and this is the second week in a row where I tried to give you outfit advice and you either didn't follow through with it, or you made a small minimal change. If this outfit was on a mannequin and someone showed it to me and offered me $100 if I could guess who, out of everyone on Habbo designed it, I would probably guess you. That is how familiar I am with your style. The thing I want to understand is that there's NOTHING WRONG with having a specialty, or liking a specific genre. Heck, you've won numerous of my games just because of it. But the purpose of me hosting this game is because I am looking for the next "IT designer" in Habbo fashion. I am looking for someone who can do it all, and who can do it to the maximum. And based on the past few performances you've shown me, I don't think it's going to be you. You have a high chance at getting eliminated this week. If you miraculously survive this week, you need to STEP IT UP or you'll be right back here next week.

Set Performance: Your performance on set was alright. You didn't have any major technical flaws.

Nextly is Bri

Photo: I think this is one of the most photoshoot-like photos of this week because I could actually see it in a magazine. A shy, timid haunted girl spooked while holding down her frilly dress in front of a haulting car? Yeah I could see it work. Nice shot.

Outfit: At first I didn't like this outfit, but I am starting to be a little more subjective and now I really like it. My favourite part is how you put a lot of design and flare into the bottom half, and left the top half blank. Most people did it the other way around and it gets tiring to judge over and over. So thanks for offering a reprieve of the norm. I think the choice to use a tutu was very smart because it still gives off mysteriousness and fear, but in the form of a gentle, apprehensive little girl. Once again I think you delivered a great product.

Set Performance: You were good on set and had no technical flaws.

Next is Skye

Photo: At first I liked the running-away motion, but the more and more I ponder whether or not it induces fear or intimidation, the more I dislike it. It looks like you stole the car's radio and you're now sprinting away from the crime scene.

Outfit: Skye, here's my issue: let's pretend that I am some powerful high-fashion editor in real life and let's say I never heard of Habbo Hotel. Then someone shows me this photo and explains the task, and says "Do you like this outfit?" I would honestly say yes, I do. I like the outfit. HOWEVER, I am not a fashion editor. I am a Project Runway host on a virtual hotel, and in my years of hosting PR on this virtual hotel I've must've seen this outfit (or a similar layout) at least 1,000 times. You get what I am trying to say? You went into complete hysteria on set and admitted that you're not confident, and I can totally see it in your outfit. Couture and Avant Garde clearly isn't your strongest genre, so rather than taking a risk, you retreated into your safe zone and delivered a generic outfit. When in doubt, ALWAYS take a risk. Because even if it doesn't pay off, at least I can say "Oh well at least she tried to break the barrier. She clearly wants this more than that other person who just did something mediocre." By now I assume you want me to judge the actual outfit... Sheesh alright let's see what I can do: the head accessories are fantastic but everything from the neck + down is just cookie-cutter clothes painted black. Seen it: NEXT!

Set Performance: Despite the photo being a bit iffy and moot, I will applaud your modelling because you modelled well. My only critique would be to try and embody the character-in-hand more. But you seem to have the basics down rather well.

Nextly is Liberty

Photo: I do not condone people facing away from the camera in their photos, so when I choose a photo of someone with their back turned as their "best," you know they either did phenomenally good, or massively terrible. Liberty dear, this is phenomenally good! Not only have you managed to hault the vehicle, but it looks like you're trying to repel it, all while giving some fierce over-the-shoulder eye contact. Now I feel like a dick because I originally gave you green hair to trip you up, but it's actually making you look edgier and more striking at first glance.

Outfit: The outfit is difficult to recognize because you're facing the other way, but it is still feasible. All of the technical aspects are there: everything belongs, it comes together great, and you look original. My only complaint would be that there wasn't much risk-taking with the fabrics, but you look great either way so I won't worry too much over it. I really appreciate that you embraced the green hair and made it part of your edgy factor, rather than covering it up with a silly hat.

Set Performance: Libby, sweetiepie, you were the QUEEN of modelling this week. No one else scored 5/5 besides you. You were super inventive all while embodying the task and inducing some sort of mystery in your frame. Literally all of your pictures were fantastic and could've been up here.

Rose follows next

Photo: There's an interesting dynamic about the shape of your hat and how you compare against the lamp post. I'm not sure if it really captures the fear-inducing aspect, but I can definitely see some sort of mythological creature blooming from this.

Outfit: I like the long dress, but that's it. Everything else is boring. You and I both know that this outfit is not all-star quality. It takes more than slapping on a weird hat to successfully convey the audience that you're abnormal. The thing that annoys me the most about this is knowing that after you took this photograph, you went and played a PR in my room and you delivered some really good outfits that were leaps and bounds ahead of this mediocrity. So you clearly have talent, but I can't judge outfits designed outside this game. You've delivered another dull, boring piece, and it might be the tipping scale that pushes you out the door.

Set Performance: I do see an improvement in your modelling compared to your disastrous shoot on Week 1, but your modelling is still very slow, lackluster and below par.

Up next is Jade

Photo: I like how you used the side of the car, it looks like you're slowly creeping around to the passenger's side. However as a fashion shot, it doesn't instantly strike me. If I didn't know the story behind this photoshoot, I would probably guess that you just stepped out of the car or something.

Outfit: I was really happy with your outfit because it was an approach that I had yet to see from anyone else for this task. Some people were taking a subtle, timid shy girl approach but you did the opposite. The top clothing makes you look aged and mature, which is not a bad thing. It looks very high-strung and posh while still being a bit eerie and mysterious. The cowboy hat adds a lot of character and it looks like you are yearning to tell a story.

Set Performance: You were good on set and had no major technical flaws.

Come on down, Vicky

Photo: A true fashion shot! This reminds me of those photos for ANTM 21 where the models throw themselves back and have the feathers dance around them. This is sort of similar because you're wearing a large gown and a long cape, and your Habbo looks hunched back as if she is throwing herself to allow the fabrics to ebb and flow in the wind. This is truly remarkable.

Outfit: The textures on the outfit are simple and bleak, but I think that is actually a good thing here. There's not too much detail, it doesn't look clunky or disproportioned at all. My only issue I have is that you almost changed again, back to the previous boring outfit you had on. You've proven that you can design amazing outfits, but that doesn't mean much when you can't even identify by yourself what looks good. But I still give you full credit for this amazing esemble.

Set Performance: You were good on set and had no major technical flaws.

Second last is Savon

Photo: Savon, this is fantastic... I am so floored right now. Please don't take this the wrong way, but you have NO IDEA how close you were to being eliminated last week. I figured that this competition was getting the better of you, and I assume you'd be eliminated withing the next 2 weeks. but then you deliver THIS. The palette of the outfit works in complete harmony with the vibe from the car. Not only can I see this in an editorial magazine, but I could see this being walked in ANY major top fashion show of this year. Couture is in, and so is this!

Outfit: The outfit is your best so far in this competition. It looks couture, abnormal, nontypical, creative, basically everything that I asked and had hoped for. I love how you went with grey as the majority because it makes you look like you're working with the car in complete tandem. The buckle on the belt makes it look all that more rustic and ghostly. You look like a night rider. Keep this up, PLEASE!

Set Performance: You worked well on set and had a lot of interesting ideas. You weren't afraid to ask questions which was cool. You were also very considerate of your surroundings and how they translate onto film.

And last up is Valentina

Photo: This photo is really relaxed and simple, but I like it. You look like a scarecrow-like figure just basking in the sheer silence of the cold winter night.

Outfit: I already told you set earlier today that you've been blowing me away these past couple weeks. This outfit is stunning! It looks magestic and outdated; but that's surely not a bad thing. I love everything about it.

Set Performance: Despite a great outfit and photo, your modelling was WAY less spectacular. You were very slow, and you did lots of waving. I don't think you even danced once. You need to mix up the variety for next time because your film was so boring, I was obligated to pick a photo of you just standing there.

Jordan's Critique: I'm really captivated by this look, Jade! Normally I would criticize someone for choosing to use metallic black for the whole look without some use of greyscale -- but in this case it works marvelously with your gorgeous skin. I think the pose you chose is rather mystifying aswell. My only criticism would be that you played it on the safer side; when with this challenge you had an oppurtunity to go way further out of the box. 8/10

Jordan's Critique: I like this look. I do not love this look. I do however think this look had potential to go all the way.  It's cute in a naive kind of way, and the pose is one of my favorites.  But Bri dear... it's not unorthodox fashion. Add heels and drop 20 pounds and it's ready for fashion week.  I agreed to judge the looks this week because I appreciate and adore unorthodox fashion. And this, my dear... is simple. 6.5/10

Jordan's Critique: Joel, you were one of my saving graces this week for not making me regret judging the looks. This look gives me LIFE! That pose paired with that outfit would stop my car anyday of the week.  What I love most about it is the level of dimensions and structure you created with what are actually quite simple garments on their own. The only thing getting me is the skin tone... but I'm partial to cadaver grey skin. 8.5/10

Jordan's Critique: While the pose is sickening... it's a shame you can't read. Unratable/10

Jordan's Critique: FUCK I LOVE THAT DRESS. I absolutely am in love with that fucking dress I can't say it enough.  The soft feathery elements at the bottom paired with that structured top garment give it such irony it makes me orgasm. My problem with this look is that you have a face mask and a bandana on. Well which is it dear?! I'm all for face pieces but this just pushes the line for me. While that is unorthodox it's also tasteless.  I think if you stuck with just the mask and showed off some cleavage that car would have stopped a little faster. 7/10

Jordan's Critique: I really enjoy what you've managed to create here. I was really hoping I'd see someone pull out a bowler hat, and you did the damn thing girl! I think in terms of accesorizing I would remove the scarf and would have added some cute half-spectacles to add some mystery into the look. But this is one of the strongest looks presented this week and I am very impressed, well done. 8/10

Jordan's Critique: This look is fierce. I love that you were one of the few bold enough to pick something with colour that you can't change. Also if you ask Bradley, I am a big believer in veils, so bravo on wearing one. I do agree with him however that the bottom half is so simple.  I realize the focus is meant to be on the necklace and the head pieces, but this is unorthodox fashion! I think a sickening ballgown with that half coat would have been splendid to see. All in all I think you halted that car to a complete stop without even batting an eyelash ;) 8.5/10

Jordan's Critique: This look was one of the biggest disappointments for me.  When Bradley told me one of the cast members had green hair... I was so excited to see what they would pull out for an all grey-scale look paired with unorthodox fashion.  You could have had the best look with elaborate dimensions paired with that gorgeous hair... but instead you decided to become a biker chick. All thats missing is the tattoo sleeves! You didn't just halt this limo, you mugged it and probably killed the driver! 5/10

Jordan's Critique: This look is sloppy. I think it had potential for mild success... but you should have done some editing.  There is no reason for that skirt to be plaid, paired with that pleated blouse.  If you are going with metallic black you should have chosen more sleek and patternless fabrics to let the garments shine for themselves.  There is no reason to have a hospital mask on, it just makes me think you escaped from the insane asylum. And I hate the pose, I can't see your face! I want to see whats making that limo stop! In fact I think in this case the Limo drove right on by, might have sped up a little to be honest. 5/10

Jordan's Critique: I personally love this look and don't know why Bradley thinks badly of it.  I find the headpiece to be a delight and kind of refreshing compared to everything else I've seen this week... but it's not captivating. The pose is rather weak compared to other contestants.  Overall however I find this a very structured and delightful piece. 7/10

Jordan's Critique: I don't have a lot to say... I agree with Bradley 100% in the sense that I've seen this outfit a billion times in a billion different colors. The only reason I gave this a 7.5 is because you have my favorite pose of all the contestants. It's brave and mesmerizing! I just wish the outfit matched the pose... 7.5/10

Jordan's Critique: This is fucking awesome. The end. 9/10

Jordan's Critique: YES BITCH! You were one of the only ones brave enough to not hide behind all metallic black. You actually incorporated grey-scale to form the whole garment. I think the use of gloves is genius, aswell as the veil. My only problem is the pose. It's a little meh. I applaud you tenfold though as this is definitely in the category of unorthodox fashion!!!!!!! 9/10

Jordan's Critique:

This is by far my favorite look [along with Vickys].  I'm not gonna on and on about why it's the best one, you know why it is.

Take notes, other contestants. 9.5/10

Jordan's Week Review: As someone that has been playing virtual Project Runway for over 5 years strong,  I am captivated and impressed by what Bradley has done with this game. He has moved the game eons beyond what I ever thought it could become on Habbo -- and I am equally impressed with the cast he has chosen! The majority of you have a unique style that both educates and inspires. My personal favorites are Valentina, Jade, Vicky, and Savon.  I think Liberty and Joseph have the power to have a breakthrough and wow us all. And for the rest of you I look forward to you proving me wrong, but I do think one of the four I named will be the winner this season.
